Giovanni Heater is a play-by-play broadcaster, journalist, content creator, podcast host and graphic designer from Syracuse, New York. Heater is currently the play-by-play voice of the Salem Red Sox (Single-A, Boston Red Sox). He is also a part of the LEARFIELD team at Virginia Tech, calling play-by-play of Virginia Tech baseball and softball across the Virginia Tech Sports Network. In addition, Giovanni calls games on the ACC Network Extra via the ESPN App with experience in a variety of sports. He is a Broadcast Coordinator for 3304 Sports, broadcasting play-by-play of Virginia Tech football and basketball. Heater is the host of the Tech Sideline Podcast, covering all things Virginia Tech Athletics. Giovanni is a Senior in the Sports Media and Analytics Program at Virginia Tech and is set to graduate in December of 2024.
